It takes around 4 hours to travel from Ho Chi Minh city to the current one in every of the foremost prestigious seaside resorts in Vietnam.
Discover Sea Links Golf and Country Club
Designed by Ronald Fream and Golfplan Company, the course itself is an 18-hole par 72 stretching over 7617 yards (from the black tee) on a dune. It covers a large area of 160 hectares looking over the South China Sea and ensured to retain much of the original terrain of white dunes. Sea Links Golf looks over the ocean, with panoramic views of Mui Ne Bay, creating such an exquisite spot for golfers to enjoy both the most enjoyable golfing rounds and sightseeing experience as well. Most of the holes overlook the sea offering golfers not only a golfing vibe but also enjoyment of the gorgeous rolling sand dunes.
The course at Sea Links Golf and Country Club has 5 tees rather than 4 so that it is much more challenging for golfers, especially those who are new to golf. Advice for ordinary golfers: you should concentrate on playing regular tees - 6,670 yards for men 5,482 yards for ladies. As playing from the back tees totals 7,770 yards in length, ordinary golfers find it is difficult to perform their best. Sea Links Golf gained a prestigious reputation as it is on the list of “The Most Challenging 18-Hole Golf Courses in Asia" for its own design. You will find such massive undulations on the greens and fairways, ready to challenge any golfers at even the highest level. The difficulty here is that you would barely find a fairway without being sharply carved. Moreover, there is no easy flat lie for you to have an effortless club because of the non-stop elevated greens. Strong wind flows due to the altitude of 80m above the sea level are also a big obstacle challenging even the high-level golfers. However, the backdrop of the ocean from every spot on the course may serve you as compensation for all of that.
Holes description
The par 3 3rd hole has water along the left side with 2 large bunkers guarding the back and front of the greens. The 4th hole is a dogleg par 4 with two fairway bunkers. The par 4 5th hole will be a tricky one as there are two big bunkers protecting the green requiring more attempts at this hole. You then go to the 6th par 5 with a lake in the center of a split fairway, here you need more calculation of which side to take the shot as each side has different pros and cons. To finish the front nine holes, you need to play towards the right of the fairway-side bunkers followed by a difficult approach to a narrow green guarded by two giant bunkers.
Try to keep to the left of the fairway at the 13th hole then it may be a scoring hole, or else it is just out of range even for a pro club. The par 3 14th hole stretching 220 yards from the back tees has giant bunkers on both sides of the green. Then you go to the 15th par 4 where the narrow green face water in front and a bunker on the back. This is a risky spot but also a score worthy hole. The par 5 finishing hole will be a little tricky when it twists and turns with bunkers along the left. There is also water on the right and a final approach to a very narrow green protected by bunkers on both sides.
